The world is too interesting to spend your life playing a single, predetermined role.*

I work with experienced UX and product designers — mid&seniors, design leads, strategists — who feel something is shifting and want to navigate that change consciously.

Together we bring structure to the chaos, separate what's yours from what's systemic, and find decisions rooted in your own identity — not someone else's blueprint for success.

* and this is a quote from Almodóvar that I once received from the right person at the exact right moment.

Areas of
collaboration

Leadership & team dynamics

Managing a design team, running workshops, navigating stakeholder relationships, working in chaos. I help you zoom out and see the whole picture — and understand that balance isn't a fixed point, it's an ongoing process.

Work structure & creative flow

I help organize the day-to-day of your work so you can work smarter, not harder. We focus on prioritizing, planning, managing creative flow, and building habits—so you can find your rhythm and take control of your calendar, instead of it controlling you.

UX brainstorming

When you're stuck, creatively blocked, or just need a sparring partner from outside your bubble. I bring 19 years of practice and a genuinely different perspective.

Career transitions & decisions

Whether you're considering a move or choosing to stay — consciously, on your own terms. We analyse not just the benefits but the real costs of each option, because every choice involves trade-offs.

Building your own thing

Thinking about a side offer, your own product, or leaving employment on your own terms? I work with people who want to build something of their own — a service, a product, an expert brand. I know what it looks like from the inside, because I've done it myself.

I work with people who already know they want something different — but don't yet know what their "different" looks like. Together we look for career decisions rooted in your values, not in someone else's blueprint for success.

Mentoring is built on a partnership, where the goal is to notice and develop the mentee's potential.

During our work together, I draw on methods grounded in practice — from gathering feedback, through working on strengths and differentiators, to mapping out development paths based on the mentee's values, the possibilities of their project environment, and an evolving market.

People come to me not because they lack competence, but because it's hard to see what actually makes sense.

Sometimes it's about a career move, sometimes a leadership role, sometimes a project that's been sitting in the back of their mind for months. And sometimes it's simply about a conversation with someone who will ask the questions no one has asked before.

Practical details:

It's a partnership, not a programme. I don't hand you a roadmap — I help you find what's already there.

We often start with one session. Not to "kick off a process", but to check whether this is the right moment and the right kind of support for you.

I'm Ula. I've worked in digital design for over 19 years — as a designer, design team lead, UX strategist, and mentor.

I hold a PhD in Fine Arts and a BSc in Computer Science, which means I think about design from both the human and the technical side — and I've written book and articles on technology, culture, and mortality to prove it.

Most of my career I've worked with Scandinavian clients and teams. For four years as Head of Product Design at Euvic's Nordic branch, I led a team of designers across 37 projects, built cross-functional collaboration processes from scratch, and co-created a workshop methodology that was later adopted company-wide.

At Leica Geosystems in Switzerland, I led UX strategy for a next-generation geodetic monitoring platform — software built to help prevent the impact of natural and human-induced disasters. I introduced human-centred design into the organisation and made UX a core part of how the team worked and made decisions.

I write about UX and design on Medium, where my articles have been read over half a million times and are regularly featured in UX Collective.

I work with max 3 mentees at a time — because that's the only way this kind of work actually works.

Ula is incredible. She is one of the most talented, open-minded and approachable artists (and professionals) I have ever met. We're talking regularly, and Ula does a great job of helping me understand how to work more creatively. I can say without a doubt that her experience and wisdom, passed in long conversations, make me a better artist. Not only that, though; her expertise in all things digital makes her a fantastic companion in idea generation. I consider myself privileged to have access to such a mind within my direct network.
